5. Fitness and Nutrition Information

Information such as weight, nutrition, workouts, and fitness goals can be sensitive.

Stride uses this information only as reasonably necessary to provide the features you choose to use and operate the service.

Stride is not a medical service and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

Stride is not a replacement for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, physiotherapist, psychologist, or other qualified professional.

6. Service Providers

Stride uses third-party service providers to operate the platform.

These currently include:

Supabase

Used for:

  • authentication
  • database hosting
  • account data
  • application data
  • security and database access controls

Cloudflare

Used for:

  • hosting and application delivery

Used to send transactional emails such as:

  • account confirmation

Food Data Providers

Stride may use food databases such as Open Food Facts and other curated or public nutrition sources to provide food and nutrition information.

Food lookup requests do not require sending your entire workout, profile, or nutrition history to those databases.

We may add, replace, or remove service providers as Stride develops.

7. Selling Personal Information

Stride does not sell your personal information.

We do not provide your personal workout, nutrition, or Planner information to advertisers for sale.

If this practice changes materially in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and additional consent will be obtained where required.

8. International Processing

Some of the service providers used by Stride may store or process information outside Ontario or outside Canada.

Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

We take reasonable steps to use service providers appropriate for the information they process.

9. Data Retention

We generally retain account information while your Stride account remains active and while the information is reasonably needed to operate Stride.

Information may be retained for a limited period where necessary for:

  • backups
  • fraud and abuse prevention
  • security
  • legal obligations
  • dispute resolution

When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of.

10. Exporting Your Information

Stride provides a data-export feature.

You can access it through:

Profile → Privacy & Data → Export My Data

The export may contain information associated with your account, such as:

  • profile and goals
  • onboarding information
  • routines and programs
  • workout history
  • exercises and sets
  • weigh-ins
  • nutrition data
  • saved meals
  • water
  • Planner information
  • feedback you submitted
  • relevant preferences

11. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your Stride account through:

Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete Account

Account deletion requires additional confirmation.

When deletion succeeds, Stride removes your authentication account and associated user-owned Stride data according to the current system design.

Deleting your account does not delete shared databases or public food records simply because your account previously referenced them.

Some temporary backup copies may remain for a limited period before expiring through normal backup processes.

Account deletion cannot be undone.

12. Information Stored on Your Device

Stride may use browser or device storage for purposes including:

  • maintaining sessions
  • preferences
  • PWA functionality
  • temporary workout drafts
  • recovery from interrupted activity

Deleting your Stride account may not automatically erase information stored locally on another device that is offline or no longer accessible to Stride.

You may clear local application information through your browser or device settings.

13. Security

Stride uses safeguards intended to protect personal information.

These include measures such as:

  • authenticated user accounts
  • encrypted network connections
  • database row-level security
  • account isolation
  • restricted administrative access
  • server-side protection of privileged credentials
  • password security controls
  • database backups

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, contact:

support@stridefit.ca

14. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access information associated with your account
  • correct inaccurate information
  • export your information

  • delete your account
  • ask questions about our privacy practices
  • raise concerns about how your information is handled

Many changes can be made directly through Stride.

For additional privacy requests, contact:

privacy@stridefit.ca

15. Email Communications

Account verification, password-reset, and security emails are transactional communications necessary to operate Stride.

Creating a Stride account does not automatically subscribe you to future promotional marketing emails.

If Stride introduces marketing emails in the future, we will provide appropriate consent and unsubscribe controls where required.

16. Changes to This Policy

Stride is actively being developed.

We may update this Privacy Policy as features, providers, or legal requirements change.

The current version will show the latest revision date.

If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain additional consent where required.
